NOTICES FOR THE WEEK 

23rd August, 2026

1. Today is the 21st Sunday in Ordinary Time. Also celebrated as Justice Sunday. The Theme: “JUSTICE BEGINS WITH US”.

2. We encourage everyone to read the Holy Bible daily. Starting Monday, 24th August, we will read Chapter 28 of “The Book of Sirach”. One chapter each day. Let us be faithful to our daily Bible Reading.

3. Charismatic Prayer Meeting, on Wednesday 26 th August, at 7.30pm in the Church. Topic is on. “I Am the Way, The Truth and The Life”. By Leela Moraes.

4. The Novena in preparation for the Nativity of Our Blessed Mother begins from Sunday 30th August. During the days of the Novena, the Rosary will be recited at 7.00pm followed by Mass. On Sundays the Novena Mass will be at 8.00 am followed by the Rosary. The offerings to be made on each day of the Novenas, are put up on the notice board.

5. All those who would like to sponsor chocolates or snacks for the Nativity Novenas. Please contact Fr. Clifford by 25th August.

6. Next Sunday the Senior Citizen’s and Bereaved Members will meet in the Church after the 9.30am Mass.

7. Parish Bulletins are ready for distribution. PPC members, please pick up your copies from the Sacristy.

8. Novenas to Mount Mary Basilica and Our Lady of Velankanni-Irla are displayed on the notice board.

9. Last Sunday’s collection was Rs. 31,100/- 

This collection will be kept for our parish.
